The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 ESV
I’ve just really had it on my heart lately to speak out on something and I just want to share a little about me and just share what’s on my heart. I just feel led to reach out to all the single people and single parents.
People tend to think that Christians are these people who have it together and have always had it together. Truth of the matter is, we are all broken and sinful people that are saved by the wonderful grace of Jesus.
If you don’t know me then you don’t know my story. I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t start my adult life off “right”. I am not only a survivor but a testimony to how great God really is.I have lost a baby, had a baby outside of marriage, lived against God’s plan. I have made it through an infidelity and heart break. My life has not been a fairytale. God can bring change to any heart and any situation, He can and will restore. I have been through alot but by the grace of God I have made it through. I wouldn’t change a thing because every trial and tribulation has refined me through the fire. “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1Peter 5:10ESV
If you are reading this I just want you to know Jesus loves you. I’m not trying to sound generic, but it’s true. God wants you to know that you were never meant to do it alone. He sees your heart, he knows your needs, your wants, your desires. When your home alone and you feel like there is nobody in the world that understands your pain, He does. When you are facing having your electricity being cut off, He is there and He will make a way. When you are crying yourself to bed at night and wondering why you have to go through what you are going through, He is there. Jesus keeps all of your tears, every one.
Don’t sell yourself short, know that you are worth so much to our King Jesus. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are worth more than drunken one night stands and promiscuity. You are the child of the most high, you are royalty. Even though you don’t feel like this person I’m describing, YOU ARE! I have seen you suffering, the smiles you give when inside you are hurting so much. I know you are brokenhearted, I see it in your eyes even though you think you have the world fooled. Know that Jesus can restore any relationship, any family. In your situation, He sees you. Bring your broken heart to Him, let Him heal you. Pray for a godly partner, sent by God Himself. He will send your partner in His time, not yours, be patient child. Not every man/woman you meet and “fall in love” with is sent from God.Pray continuously for discernment.
You are loved so much and my desire for you is for you to recognize that. I just want to offer a prayer for you if you are reading this.
I know you hear the cries of your children, you hear the brokenhearted calling out for a savior. Lord draw near to them. Let your love shine down on those who do not know you. Let hearts be turned to You. Let lives be changed, families and relationships be restored. Let there be an overflow of forgiveness in hearts. Lord protect those that seek you from any scheme of the enemy. Fill your children with the peace only You can bring. Let them answer Your call. Lord, I just intercede on behalf of anybody who needs it Lord, that they would be moved by your Holy Spirit. You are Glorious, Holy, and Worthy of all that I have to give.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own. 1 Corinthians 6:19 ESV
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12 ESV
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well Psalm 139:141 ESV
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.Psalm147:3 ESV
And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Job 42:10
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24
Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago. Acts 3:19-21 ESV
