The Hurt and the Healer Collide

freedomPsalms 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.

I just want to use this post today to give prayer. I know a lot of people who are hurting, whether it be physically, financially, emotionally, etc. The pain is real but there is a healer and a deliverer.

I intercede today for those who are hurting, those who feel guilty, those who have yet to be delivered from the chains that are holding them back. Lord I say in Jesus name that those chains would begin to fall off and freedom is declared in your name! Lord you know who I pray for that is hurting emotionally, I pray that your comforting hand would heal and restore. Lord I pray for breakthrough and repentance in this persons life. Lord we know you have us go through things in order to bring us out better and stronger. I just pray for a renewal, a refreshing of faith.

Lord all our hope is in you. I pray you would provide for those who are suffering financially, you have always come through. I pray for those who are depressed, Let your light shine into those dark places and lead the way out. There is not a heart you can’t heal, a relationship you can’t restore, a mountain you can’t move. Your word is filled with promises of your power and stories of You bringing your people out of trials. Lord you are the ultimate healer, the great physician, I ask that you would begin to heal hearts, minds and souls all over the world. I pray that you would draw your children closer and closer to you and when they have found you they would be strengthened and they would rise up declaring your name across the world. Lord you cover this earth with your holy spirit, I pray that you would be exalted on high, exalted in the earth.

Lord, bring revival, a spiritual revival and renewal, a refreshing!!!!

Lord, I give you thanks for everything you do for all of us. The breath in our lungs is yours, you are the giver of life. Thank you for another day of life. Another day to speak your praises into the air. Thank you,Lord.

Psalms 107:20 NKJV He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Psalms 147:3 NKJV He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

Psalm 113:3-9

3From the rising of the sun to its setting,
the name of the Lord is to be praised!

The Lord is high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens!
Who is like the Lord our God,
    who is seated on high,
who looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
to make them sit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
He gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
Praise the Lord!

Deuteronomy 31:8 “… It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Peace Be With You

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 ESV

I have this verse posted up so I can read it every morning. This verse is so true, when you are having a bad day, when you are worried, when you are just plain exhausted with life’s situations. Life gets hard, at times unbearable, but we serve a living God who can make a way no matter the circumstance. Bring it to God, He is always listening and He will put your heart and mind at ease.

I just want to give prayer today for those who need it.

I see people all around me who are broken, people who are hurting, people who are fighting for their lives, their marriages, broken relationships, restoration, and begging for healing and understanding. Lord you are the maker of all things and you have promised us so much. Hear the cry of the broken hearted, those that are longing for peace in their hearts, those begging to be free. You gave us much power in your name Jesus, strengthen us, break off chains that hold us back. Lord I just pray peace over those who need it.

I pray for a particular family that is fighting to keep their marriage together, I pray for eyes to be opened, I pray for unity in the family , in the marriage, I pray for conviction of sin and for hearts to be turned to you. I pray for strength to fight, strength to say to the enemy YOU CAN NOT HAVE OUR MARRIAGE IN JESUS NAME! Lord I just ask that you intercede for this family.

Lord I pray for someone who has started on a new adventure in life. Let him know that your are God. Let him proclaim Your name to the nations. Help him to stand strong and firm on your word, let him hold on to you Lord in all circumstances. I know you have a plan for his life and I pray that you would guide his steps and strengthen his faith.

Lord I pray for a family member who is struggling with being alone. Fighting just to make it another day and to make a way for herself and her child. Lord I pray healing from the pain that is kept within her heart. Lord I ask that you cover her with the peace only you can bring, and I ask that you would protect her and her child. Lord you know who I intercede for and I just ask that you would bring breakthrough in the lives of the people I have on my heart and for anyone that reads this. Thank you Lord for everything you do. Amen

A Mother’s Love

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4

As a parent I know life can get stressful. You drag your kids here and there. There’s the never-ending pile of laundry and the overflowing stack of dishes. A parents job is never done. I’ve had my moments of feeling overwhelmed and unappreciated. Recently I had an encounter with Jesus that just really put things into perspective.

I pray for my children, I just ask God to help me raise up a Godly man and woman out of them. I feel like my eyes were opened and I saw my children for what God intended them to be to me.

I looked at my son and I saw a boy with such an innocent heart. He really does have a servant’s heart, I wish I loved even half as much as he does and forgave a milion times what he does. If you could see his willingness to serve, its just amazing, he’s always asking to help people. He doesn’t see the color differences amongst people, doesn’t judge or hold a grudge. He has a million dollar smile. His innocence is so inspiring, and his willingness to follow God is astounding, he has no doubts about our father in heaven. To see this 6 year old close his eyes, throw his hands up and openly invite the spirit of God in is just moving on so many levels. I just continue to speak life over my son, I may not be raising a Mensa member or the next president but I know I’m raising an evangelist. I’m raising a man of God. A son that will spread the word of Jesus to the lost. As his mother it means the world.

I look at my daughter. Shes so sweet and just a doll. She too has such a tender heart. She can be a handful at times but I wouldn’t change her for anything. Her strength at such a young age is just proof of the plan God has for her. I know she will be a fighter, she will fight for the kingdom of God, she will fight for the oppressed. To see her approach people that are outcast to most, the least of these, the shunned, with such love and compassion is just so moving. At the young age  of 2, I wish I could love like her as well. She is not shy when it comes to being on stage and singing in front of people. She loves to perform and put on a show. I feel like I’m raising a worship leader  in her. I just hope she knows how beautiful she is and that God made her perfect.
I feel like God himself has said, I trust you this much that I give you these children to teach my gospel and to show how to worship me.
My life has to be a model of how my children are to live and I just hope i set a great example. I just want to share prayer for my children and I hope you can pray it over your child/children as well.

Lord, thank you for trusting me this much, trusting me so much to give me my children. Thank you for their lives and for allowing them another day in life. I pray that you would give them life and life abundantly in you. I ask that you would protect them and help them. Help me as a parent to instill your  values in them. Help me to raise them up to walk down the narrow path and to lead others to you. I speak blessings over them. Please strengthen them, let them know that you are always near and that they can do all things through you! Let your spirit pour out  upon them and fill them up with your presence. I thank you for everyday of this life that I have to spend with them. I pray your will be done. Amen

Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 KJV

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalm 127:3 ESV

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13 ESV

One of their favorite songs.

A Season To Give

Acts 20:35 I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

I challenge you, as a brother/sister in Christ to reach out to someone. Whether that person has a physical, financial, or emotional need. Ask God to put on your heart someone to help, even if it’s just lifting them up in prayer. The holidays can be hard for alot of people, it’s up to US the CHURCH to reach out and help those who are hurting this season, and those that are in need.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalms 34:18″

I encourage you to also give with a cheerful heart. This season is especially hard for single parents. As a parent I understand wanting to give your child the world, even when it seems so out of reach. So if you are able to reach out to a single parent and help them in anyway I encourage that. Offer prayer.Remember this season is about the greatest gift of all. The gift that we received when that star shined over Bethlehem. This season is about Hope, the Hope that was born, brought forth into this world to give us a chance at reconciliation with God.

2 Corinthians 9:7-8  Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

Be the hands and feet of Jesus this season, you never know how what you do for someone changes their life. Show the world that there are still good people in this world and that there are people who live like Christ. Remember your reward is greater in Heaven! When I think about helping people I think of these verses, “Hebrews 13:1-2 Let love of the brethren continue. 2Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.”

Lord, I ask that you would open the hearts of your children. I ask that your people would see the blessings you have poured upon them and that they would share those blessings with others. I pray that the hungry would be fed, the brokenhearted would find their healing in you, the oppressed would be set free. I pray that this season would be the beginning of  something bigger and better. I pray your people would feel your love with every breath they take. Lord set a fire in this nation, a fire in the hearts of your people to serve you and to give in your name! Lord you are the maker of all things and all things come from you. Help us to be a people just like Jesus, help us to lay down our lives and give of ourselves as He did. Thank you that we live in a country where we can still praise you. Thank you for all that you give. Thank you for meeting our needs. In Jesus name. Amen.

Deuteronomy 16:17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you.

27Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in your power to do it. 28Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,” When you have it with you Proverbs 3:27-28

Luke 3:11 He answers and said to them, He that has two coats, let him impart to him that has none; and he that has meat, let him do likewise.
