It’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it his not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;2 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

As a mother i I understand that the above can be hard to remember at times.  With all lifes demands parenting can be overwhelming and sometimes leave you feeling empty inside and like a failure. I have felt this way on a few occasions. After all we are raising children who are born sinners and they have to be taught how to live a life devoted to Christ. I just hope that those reading this would know that they are not alone in this.
God trusted you enough to give you children knowing that you were the only one who could train up His children. I’ll admit this task can be frustrating and at times seem impossible. When I’m at my lowest point and I feel as though I have completely failed my husband and children I see a glimpse of the great works that are happening in our home. I see the seeds that I sow in my children begin to flourish and I know that even though the enemy tries to put me down and tell me I’m not enough ; I see that there could not be a better mother for my children then me. The Lord is faithful to finish the work that he starts!
Friends,  you were chosen, hand picked for this job, and God will provide everything necessary to do your work,His work.  It’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it.
Take a moment to thank Him for what he has done in your life,  for what He has given physically and spiritually. Let God speak to you and guide you as to how you should discipline and direct your children.
I just want to offer up prayer now:
Lord, I  know you see the hearts of hurting mothers and fathers.  Those who have been led to believe they are not enough and are undeserving.  Fill their hearts with your grace and let them know their worth. Help them to rise up and be leaders in their homes,to raise godly children.  I rebuke any lies of the enemy in Jesus’ name. Help us to raise up a generation of people who seek you and come to know you. Fill our hearts, minds, and dreams of your visions. Thank you for every opportunity you give to show your love and grace. May we be quick to pour out grace as well. Thank you again for your love. In Jesus name, Amen.
